Siltech’s Sustain series specialty silicone ingredients offer premium performance with the added assurance of improved sustainability. Siltech chemists have organically modified the silicone backbone with functional organic groups derived from renewable biobased carbon content sources. The result: premium performance with a reduced dependency on petroleum feedstocks. Siltech employs the ASTM D6866 method to determine the percentage of carbon derived from petroleum feedstocks vs. natural and renewable sourcing, using ASTM-D6866.
